One wrestler from Iredell-Statesville Schools won a state championship at the N.C. High School Athletic Association individual wrestling tournament in Greensboro.

Keyshon Morrison (Lake Norman) took first place in the 215-pound weight class in the 7A championship, recording a 9-7 decision over Murdoch Smith (Grimsley).

Morrison was not the only ISS wrestler who placed though. Four other boys and three girls left with top-four finishes.
