CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The N.C. High School Athletic Association has announced schedule changes for postseason events in some winter sports due to the winter weather that impacted North Carolina.
In an attempt to accommodate schools that have lost practice time due to weather, and to provide wrestlers with a chance to practice and compete, the NCHSAA Board of Directors decided to alter the calendar.

Dual-Team Wrestling: Seeding has been postponed until Friday, Jan. 30, and the deadline to submit information to TrackWrestling has been extended to Thursday, Jan. 29, at 11:59 p.m.

The first and second rounds in the dual-team wrestling playoffs have been moved to Tuesday, Feb. 3, with the third and fourth rounds on Thursday, Feb. 5.

Dual-team wrestling state championships will be held as scheduled on Saturday, Feb. 7.

Diving: Due to the threat of another winter storm in North Carolina and potential school travel restrictions, the regional diving championships have been canceled. All divers who qualified for regionals will advance to the state championships.

The diving state championships will be held at the Pullen Aquatic Center in Raleigh. 4A and 7A championships are scheduled for Feb. 4; 5A and 6A championships on Feb. 5; and 1A/2A/3A and 8A championships on Feb. 6. Warmups will begin at 12 p.m. each day, with competition following.

Swimming: The NCHSAA Board of Directors decided on Wednesday evening that the swimming regional championships have been canceled due to the anticipated winter storm in North Carolina over the weekend. Details on qualifiers for the state championships will be announced on the NCHSAA website when finalized.

The swimming state championships will be held at the Triangle Aquatic Center in Cary. 4A and 7A championships will be held on Feb. 5; 5A and 6A championships are scheduled for Feb. 6; and 1A/2A/3A and 8A championships will be held on Feb. 7. Prelims are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. each day with finals scheduled for 5 p.m.
