South Iredell High School Softball has been a force to be reckoned with this season. The team has put together the best record in program history at 19-6, claimed the North Piedmont Conference Regular Season Championship for the first time in 25 years, and dominated Mooresville to win the Conference Tournament Championship.
This outstanding group of student-athletes has shown incredible leadership, talent, and determination all season long. Their offensive production has been impressive, totaling 216 RBIs, 28 home runs, and 64 stolen bases, while their pitching staff has recorded 114 strikeouts against opposing teams.
Finishing the regular season at 17-6 and first place in the conference, South Iredell earned the #2 seed in the 7A West bracket and received a first-round bye in the State Playoffs. This historic season is a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and commitment from the players and coaching staff.
This team is truly something special and so much fun to watch. The girls continue to grind as they head into the playoffs, building on what has already been a record-breaking and unforgettable season. We are incredibly proud of all the time, effort, and heart they have put into making this year one to remember.
