Two Statesville Alumni Face Off on the Field

When the Wake Forest Deacons hosted the Akron Zips on Thursday, September 3 two former Statesville Greyhounds Football alumni had the opportunity to face off on the field against each other. Zamari Stevenson (DB) of Wake Forest and Titus Myers (WR) of Akron once again met on a football field. This time they were opponents not teammates.

Although Wake Forest defeated Akron 38-16 in the non-conference season opener it was a great reunion for these two.

Zamari Stevenson (DB) had one assisted tackle in the matchup with Akron.

Titus Myers (WR) had one reception for a total of 4 yds and a touchdown in the matchup with Wake Forest.

Statesville is truly proud of these two and the impact they’ve made both on and off the field since leaving High School.
